Fellowship of The Apothecary
[Extract from the application form]
Thank you for your interest in the Fellowship of the Apothecary, in order
for us to keep track of members you will find an Application Form to fill
in (One per Character) at the end of this document. Also there is a Declaration
to sign (IC), which is in accordance with recent requests, to Guilds by The
Regent.
Below is a summary of what is expected of the membership of the Fellowship
of The Apothecary;
By Joining the Fellowship of The Apothecary, you will be putting yourself
forward, to perform tasks for The Apothecary Guild. These tasks may include
hunting down sources of new Alchemicals, tracking and eliminating Dangerous
Animates or Constructs, Dangerous Expeditions to new areas, or any other task.
You will be expected to be available at any time, for any mission or task
that is required of you. If you cannot get to a meeting point in time, funds
May be made available to you, so that you do not get left behind. (Mostly
joining a mission will be voluntary, but all members are expected to go on
some mission. Even if it's exploring a City, or obtaining Charm Components).
Alchemists or other Adventurers with similar abilities may not join the
Fellowship of The Apothecary, but any other Profession of Adventurer may
join, as can Traders. Alchemists and similar Professions, are expected to
join The Apothecary rather than the Fellowship.
Members of other Guilds, may not join the Fellowship of The Apothecary,
this is because this Guild is set-up for a particular purpose. Other allegiances
may conflict. It also stops Political difficulties, should a large proportion
of another Guild join the Fellowship of The Apothecary.
The Apothecary will reserve the right to block or negate the membership
of any Adventurer to the Fellowship of The Apothecary, should they see fit
to do so. All members of the Fellowship of The Apothecary, are expected to
act courteously to any member of The Apothecary Guild, our Clients and The
Crown. Those who bring the names of The Apothecary Guild, or the Fellowship
of The Apothecary Guild, may be fined or removed from the Guild.
In return members of the Fellowship of The Apothecary, will gain a substantial
discount on Apothecary items. This could be as low as Cost Price, or for free,
depending on circumstances and whether the leadership of The Apothecary feels
that is warranted. Members of the Fellowship of The Apothecary, will not
receive Apothecary Guild Items, or be considered members of The Apothecary
directly. The Apothecary is open only to Alchemists and a few Enchanters.
The Leader of the Fellowship of The Apothecary, will be given equal rights
as a member of The Apothecary. Including the receiving of a Dragon Clasp and
Apothecary Scroll. They will report directly to the Leadership of The Apothecary,
and are expected to remain in good standing. Members of the Fellowship of
The Apothecary, are expected to be courteous to their leadership at all times.
The Leader may call for two Deputies, these may be chosen by the Leader, or
a vote may be called. In any case, The Leadership of The Apothecary, must
approve the Deputies.
The Apothecary will allow the membership of the Fellowship of The Apothecary
to vote or re-vote for their Guild Leader and Deputies. Anyone wishing to
fill these posts, must write in the first instance to the Guild Leader of
The Apothecary, Belladonna. The Leadership of The Apothecary reserves the
right to disallow any candidate from such posts. (OOC: Unlikely to happen,
but you never know).
Official or Non-Official;
The Fellowship of The Apothecary is a Non-Official Guild, however if its
members wish to go Official, they will have the support of The Apothecary.
The exact details of such a move will be discussed at that time. It is likely
(OOC: Or at least will be tried) that the Guild Item will be made by an Apothecary
member, and members of the Fellowship will receive a small wage each turn
(probably 5 Gold). (OOC: This is subject to GM approval).
In any case, The Apothecary reserves the right to veto any upgrade, (OOC:
To make sure it is in keeping with the Guild). (OOC: Anything that helps in
the location of Alchemicals, or Alchemicals that only Fellowship members know
how to find are OK. Items that boost stats or combat abilities, are allowed,
but need a good RP reason).
NOTE: This condition may be dropped, Steve might even insist it is dropped.
I hope you still feel enthused enough to join the Fellowship of The Apothecary,
if not, please let me know why. Not everything is set in stone yet. We have
do have expectations, as we are setting this Guild up to perform tasks too
dangerous for ourselves. We will respect those that wish to join The Fellowship
of The Apothecary, we will respect those that do not.
Regards,
Belladonna
(OOC: If you do not want to be in a position, where other players are asking,
or even demanding tasks of you. Don't join this Guild. However, if you like
a bit of Role-play, relish new areas to go, then join up and have fun. If
you find all the conditions a bit heavy, don't worry, the Fellowship of The
Apothecary is a Guild financed by another Guild. Thus, a lot is expected from
that other Guild. The most important thing is to have fun. Mostly things will
be voluntary, but you are expected to do something. If you find a new area
to explore, report it, you might end up heading an expedition there).
As far as I am aware, this is the first time something like this has been
done, A Guild financed and even controlled to some part by another Guild.
The end outcome could be different to what we expect. The GM's may insist
on a number of conditions. Who knows!
